Analytics for journalists

In http://thenextweb.com/apple/2014/06/02/apple-announces-swift-new-programming-language-ios/:

The company says that Swift apps are significantly faster than Objective-C apps, outperforming them by over 93x.
Wow. That is some programming language...

  1. The journalist apparently drew this conclusion himself based on a slide where it says "RC4 encryption; python 1x (benchmark), objective C 127x, Swift 220x". Discussion is at http://programmers.stackexchange.com/questions/242816/how-can-swift-be-so-much-faster-than-objective-c-in-these-comparisons and at http://www.infoworld.com/t/development-tools/apples-swift-not-so-swift-after-all-244120
